The standard load handling provided with VacDry kilns are a cart, rails and a winch. For faster load turnaround, VacDry offers Aergo air casters to easily manipulate the kiln charge, vastly reducing down time. The air caster handling system allows loads to be built remotely at a central loading station and lets dry loads and built green loads to be temporarily stored out of the way.

To efficiently handle both plates and loads, VacDry offers a complete integrated handling system. The system includes a Gorbel crane with custom-designed manipulator to quickly and easily handle heating plates from storage onto a load being built. The system is designed for large installations where downtime between loads and quick kiln charge turnaround is a concern.

The optional load press is used when drying flat sawn boards which would have a tendency to cup due to the orientation of grain in the lumber. The load press applies the necessary force to hold lumber flat while drying. Included with the press are the required easy-mount pressure regulator and relief valve.

VacDry supports a variety of new and existing boilers, pre-installing a significant amount of the necessary plumbing into the existing heating water stand. This makes for a simpler, quicker installation at the customer’s site.

When necessary, VacDry can supply an integrated cooling system complete with cooling water sump, water pumps, all working seamlessly with the kiln motor control panel and PLC control system.
