Because of the underlying science, vacuum drying allows you to dry your product much faster than conventional drying techniques. In many cases in as much as 1/3 of the time (or more depending on species). Which is all well and good. But when you take into account that with a VacDry kiln there’s no need for pre-drying, you realize you’re not only saving time but expensive labor as well. In addition, VacDry kilns use a lot less energy. And with energy costs continuing to rise, anywhere you can lower your costs applies directly to your bottom line.
